Carnelian Ang (洪彤雲, Ang5 Tong5hung5 [peng'im], Hóng Tóngyún [pinyin]) is a fourth year from New Garden City. Even with how often he disappears to go hiking in the nearby mountain ranges, he has a reputation on campus as the cryptid skulking around the treeline in ridiculous amounts of black clothing.

Carnelian, much like any young mer boy, grew up on a healthy diet of trashy metal bands and run-ins with local triads. By the time he turned five, he and his twin brother had befriended the area's boss's daughter, and they spent their days arguing about tokusatsu shows and getting free food from gang-connected grandmas.
In secondary, his aunt fell sick, and despite Carnelian's best efforts, his cousin fell in with a triad. Said cousin quickly made a name for himself of the violent kind, and while he cleaned up his act before transferring out of the country for tertiary, Carnelian didn't stop fretting over him. As such, the only logical solution was to apply to his school for the trio's fourth year projects. This was a very good idea on everyone's part and definitely did not result in any forced family funtime (abbreviated FFFT) including suspicious amounts of cousins dropping by his dorm with mysteriously sourced food.
When he isn't harassing his cousin, Carnelian enjoys long walks on the beach, free climbing mountains, avoiding his essays, repping every subculture with an all-black wardrobe theme, and hanging out with a certain girl in his department.
